Celebrating 1 Year of Alexandra Place with a Village Market Day
It’s officially been twelve months since Upper Main Road was given a stylish transformation by Dewvest with the renovation and opening of Alexandra Place. The boutique lifestyle hub in the heart of town has since introduced Somerset West to the delightful aroma of artisanal German baking, the fresh feng shui of modern interior design and an inspiring nudge towards healthy, active living.
So how are we celebrating? With a big Village get-together of course!
The Village Collective has partnered with Dewvest and Alexandra Place to bring the Somerset West community together for a Village Market Day on 1 March. This fun-filled Saturday morning promises to be action-packed with a host of opportunities to move, connect, give, indulge, learn, and win.

Start your day with exciting fitness and wellness experiences for the brave, adventurous and generous. Choose from an early morning outride with TREK, a Fit Squad Marathon featuring four back-to-back training sessions, or a free Pilates or Barre class at KORR Studio.*

Cyclists can enjoy a complimentary sourdough Pretzel from Backerei, while The Duck Pond Catering offers coffee and delicious canapés to help recharge. Even if you don’t plan on joining in for the active part of the morning, you are still invited to stock up on freshly baked bread, sweet treats, and a selection of ready-made meals to enjoy on-site or take home.*

Have you been dreaming about wine, honey and sourdough? Time to learn more! Spier will host tastings of their award-winning wines, available for purchase at TOPS at Spar Lion’s Square across the street. You can also discover the health benefits of honey with Mister Honey or embrace the sourdough movement with Backerei baker Tobi’s #SourdoughTalks Q&A.*

The Fit Squad Marathon
Join the Fit Squad in their Alexandra Place studio between 8 am and 12 pm for an epic fitness challenge – with four back-to-back classes to test your strength, endurance, and team spirit
It is fun, but also for a great cause with the entrance fee being a donation of dog food, supporting a local charity in need
No bookings required
KORR Studio *FREE* Barre & Pilates
The Pilates class will start at 8 am and BARRE at 9 am
A small act of kindness to enter! Instead of a ticket, simply bring a packet of tampons or pads to donate. Together, we can support women in need while prioritising our own health and wellness!
