The Country Craft Market was established in 1983 and is famous for the quality and variety of the handmade items on offer. Southey’s Vines has been our home for 38 years, making us the oldest craft market in the Helderberg basin. The market is child & pet friendly and wheelchair accessible.

We are always committed to providing the best quality handmade crafts, from full sized-sculptures to small pocket-sized gifts, art, soft furnishings, soaps, home and garden decor, clothing, jewellery, recycled and up-cycled art, ceramics and glass. Children can learn how vegetables grow, how to look after them and how compost is made. They will also learn about insects and the important role they play in maintaining a healthy environment for organic vegetables to grow. The program includes a practical, hands-on learning experience in small groups, and a guided tour of the garden where we will impart values such as respect for nature, and a love of healthy eating that will serve young students well for the rest of their lives.

The charge is a donation of 1 large jar of peanut butter per child which will be used in the feeding scheme for the people working in the garden.
