With The Village Garden - one of Somerset West’s hidden gems - forming a delightful gateway, the area currently spans the City Improvement District (CID) and precincts of Main Road, Bright, Caledon and Drama Street.

The hot dry days are our biggest stumbling block at this time of the year. We are entering the peak of the heat of summer now. To beat the heat we are continuing to mulch our vegetable plants. Onions, carrots and beetroot manage better in the heat.
